Chevrolet Sail: The vehicle has met with tremendous success in China, and General Motors will look to repeat the feat in India. The car is expected to be launched sometime in September at Rs 6-6.5 lakh.
Nissan Evalia: This multipurpose vehicle from the Japanese car maker is likely to be launched in September, and may be priced upwards of Rs 8 lakh. The vehicle will directly compete with the Toyota Innova, and right pricing will be the key.
Volkswagen Up: After much success of the Polo and the Vento, Volkswagen will be entering the budget segment with the Up, expected to be launched around November. It will be priced competitively at Rs 3.5 lakh upwards.
Chevrolet Enjoy: Another multipurpose vehicle likely to hit the roads this year is the Enjoy. The vehicle is expected to be priced at around Rs 7 lakh, and will directly compete with the Mahindra Xylo when it is launched towards the end of the year.
Ford EcoSport: This SUV is undoubtedly the most awaited car of the year. It is expected to launch sometime in November and will be priced upwards of Rs 7 lakh. Ford will look to replicate the success of the small car Figo with this new SUV.
Tata Safari Storme: The Storme is another big launch lined up for September. It is expected to be priced at Rs 8 lakh upwards.
Mitsubishi Mirage
Mitsubishi Mirage: This will be Mitsubishi's first hatchback in India, and will be launched towards the end of the year. It is expected to be priced in the Rs 5 lakh range.
New Porsche 911
New Porsche 911: It is unclear when the next-generation Carrera will come to India, but some estimates say it could be as early as December-end. The new 911 will be the first car from the Porsche stable to come to India after Volkswagen became the official importer and distributor of the cars in India. The vehicle is likely to be priced at just under Rs 1 crore.
Jaguar XJ L
Jaguar XJ L: The XJ L, expected to be priced upwards of Rs 80 lakh, is likely to come to India towards the end of the year. The XJ L is a runaway hit in other parts of the world already.
